What we believe
At Transformation House Of Worship,
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was crucified, died and rose on the third day. He is seated at the right hand of God the Father making intercession for us and will return to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit and His ability to transform us from the inside and empower us to live a Godly life; One Holy Church with Christ being the Chief Cornerstone, the Communion of Saints, Water Baptism to demonstrate to the world this new life; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and life everlasting. Amen.
The Journey
2019
Brooklyn, NY
Transformation House of Worship (THOW), was started by the Reverend Kenesia Stewart-Greene after receiving a Word from the Lord to gather His sheep. She discussed this with her husband Archbishop Trevor and her family and THOW was born. The church started in the Greene's home in Brooklyn, NY with only close members of her family and then grew to add friends and other members who were won for the Lord.
Open air and evangelism services were kept at Highland Park mostly and occasionally at Prospect Park, while others called in virtually to listen to the services. When COVID-19 struck in 2020, we moved to a fully virtual platform which allowed THOW to have saints joining from several different US states, Jamaica, and Germany as the church grew. Friends and family who were deployed overseas joined our services from wherever the US Military stationed them.
2021
Cambridge, MD
After the experience of COVID-19, the Greenes sought the Lord in purchasing a home and through much prayer the Lord would direct them to pack up and leave Brooklyn, NY to a land they have never been before - Cambridge, MD. In 2021 being led by the All Holy Spirt, the Greene family transitioned to Cambridge, MD, their first time setting foot in that city on Maryland's Eastern Shore was to look at the house they would buy and live in. THOW's membership continued to grow on their virtual platform while they actively sought a location to host in person services and gather the people of this city.
Annual in person services were scheduled and members would travel from near and far to the location to worship while those who could not attend would still attend virtually.
2025
It was during the planning stages of the 2025 in person service that the Lord would lead Archbishop Greene to a listing on Zillow that was not for sale but he shared it with Pastor Kenesia who was immediately drawn to the listing. They prayed about it and Pastor Kenesia reached out to the realtor that had assisted on the house purchase to make contact with the owner. After two days of failed attempts on Facebook Messenger, the realtor finally came back with a phone number for the owner and said she spoke to her and she will get in touch with me. Pastor Kenesia did not wait for that call and pursued after the owner (Rev. Cassandra Wright), who answered the call and they connected over the phone in a way that only God could connect.
They agreed to meet at the church on 9/21/2025 @ 4pm and since it would also be Rev. Cassandra's birthday as well as the Greene's wedding anniversary, they agreed to go to dinner afterwards. When we arrived at the church the presence of God was evident. We started to pray, walking through the church and outside lifting up the name of God.
They went to dinner at InJapan where Rev. Cassandra would later notify the Greenes that the Lord already spoke to her at the church that "these are the people". She told them that the Lord said there was an open heaven over us and that she is to release the property to us. That she would continue to maintain all the bills for the property for 3 months and then January 2026 we can discuss the purchasing of it.
